For those who have just found this thread, this is a Group Buy for the Jensen transformer used by Nelson Pass in the Sony VFET amplifier article, model JT-112-LCF. According to Dave Hill, General Manager at Jensen Transformers, that transformer is electrically equivalent to the PC board version, model JT-123-FLPCH. Also according to Mr. Hill, Jensen has just renamed the JT-112-LCF as the JT-123-FLCF.

A question. Are you sure that's FLCF and not JT-123-SLCF ? Can't find FLCF version caracteristics ? Can't we have JT-112-LCF seems better than JT-123-FLPCH ?

The are plenty of good transformers can be adopted to this amp build.
FLCF or SLCF ?
Wide bandwith is more interesting with FLCF.
SLCF have little less of THD.
Personally i think is always game of compromise.
Maybe is something about transformer capacitance and match with Vfets ?
I have confidence in choice made by Mr Pass.

We are aware that Mr. Pass has been publishing designs on the diyaudio forum that use some Jensen transformer models. The most current one that he has posted shows our wire lead based output transformer model JT-112-LCF. This model is electrically equivalent to the pc board version, model JT-123-FLPCH. I do see where you pointed out that there are different specs listed on the two data sheets. We apologize for the confusing data. The measurement results we conducted back when we were creating all our data sheet for our website should have been much closer together.

Please note that the JT-112-LCF is a quadfilar (4 winding) transformer, as is the JT-123- FLPCH, and other quadfilar models listed in our "Line Output" section of our website, such as the JT-123-SLCF and JT-123-BLCF. However, the JT-112-LCF was given a model number that did not conform with the other JT-123 series. For many years we have been wanting to change the JT-112-LCF's part number over to JT-123-FLCF, so that it would conform with the other quadfilar output transformer models.

Since Mr. Pass has posted his new design, we have been getting inquiries and orders for the JT-112-LCF. However, we did not have stock on them, so since we are doing a new production run of these to have them available for diyaudio members, we are going to take the opportunity now to formally renamed the JT-112-LCF as the JT-123-FLCF.

For those who have just found this thread, this is a Group Buy for the Jensen transformer used by Nelson Pass in the Sony VFET amplifier article, model JT-112-LCF. According to Dave Hill, General Manager at Jensen Transformers, that transformer is electrically equivalent to the PC board version, model JT-123-FLPCH. Also according to Mr. Hill, Jensen has just renamed the JT-112-LCF as the JT-123-FLCF.

I am planning to call Jensen Transformers on Friday, May 9th, using the numbers with OK posted by 8:00 AM Pacific Daylight Saving Time (GMT -7). Hopefully we will have a USA volunteer by then.

For those who have just found this thread, this is a Group Buy for the Jensen transformer used by Nelson Pass in the Sony VFET amplifier article, model JT-112-LCF. According to Dave Hill, General Manager at Jensen Transformers, that transformer is electrically equivalent to the PC board version, model JT-123-FLPCH. Also according to Mr. Hill, Jensen has just renamed the JT-112-LCF as the JT-123-FLCF.
