Pot size?

I am replacing the mic pot in my Teac A4300sx. The replacement is the same part number, but the pot itself is about twice the size. The stem is the same length and diameter as the original and it is fits in the original spot. Is this going to be a problem?

If it fits no. the size of the "can" is due mostly to the composition of the material
the only thing that matters is the electrical spec, wattage, resistance, and taper. if you ordered the same part it should be correct on all those.
