what method were you using to get Video signal to the psoneLCD, i used the psAVcable on the 2..6"hipgear but wouldnt work with the sony PSoneLCD, plug the psoneLCD into the back of the PSone and it works fine. did you do the VGA hack to make the PSone standalone display?
ive seen a picture of a 3.5mm A/V jack but radio shack personal are about useless and know less about electronics then I do.where can i get this A/V IN for the PSoneLCD or is it something i have to cobble together?

It is a 4 conductor 3.5 mm jack. Radio Shack sells it as a camcorder to VCR/TV cable for like $13.

Hey I know what you mean about the radio shack people. I went to one the other day asking about an S-video to RCA/composite adapter and they told me: "There's no such thing. S-video is completely different from composite".
I left. The fact that a video card I had a few years ago came with one and ebay lists thousands of them went through my mind and I decided to leave before I started talking about their parents being brother and sister or something like that. When I know more than them it's a pretty sad state.
Anyway, can you describe what you mean by "3.5mm A/V jack". Do you mean a jack or a cable? Does it look like a stereo mini-plug or what. What I'm thinking is that you might have a use for a cable that I no longer can use (I destroyed the camera). It's RCA/composite video and audio connections at one end and a connection that looks just like a stereo headphone plug and one that looks the same but is much smaller. If this sounds anything like what you need (from my poor description) get back to me and I will take a picture of it so you can be sure. If it is you can have it just pay for the postage. I hate things not being used and if I don't have it around I'm less likely to drive myself nuts trying to repair the camera.

My 5" PSone Projector
Here's my first projector ever. It turned out great. I had like no money so I had to use a halogen light (from a slide projector), page magnifieres(for fresnels) and i bought the psone screen on E-bay for like 17.00 bucks. so here goes. I'm not going to change the light or the page magnifieres because it looks so great. theres no point in chaging something that works and looks really good. The picture looks 100 times better in real life. I don't have a good Camera. and the screen i have it at is 90" diagonal.

ive got an AV cord for my camcorder but only 3 connector on the 3.5mm side and 1 yellow and 1 white RCA on other. so guess i will need to get the otherone.
justme if you would send me a pic via email Blueknyt@hotmail.com
i would be happy to work something out if its what i need. only other question is whats the quality difference by using that cable Vs the VGA hack with soldering the wires with the Dplug? this will help me determine if im gonna need to setup a PC to drive this or just the compsite from dvdplayer

Re: My 5" PSone Projector
you need to get a picture host. you cant just go directly from your computer. or jusy go to reply then attach a file. but you can only do one at a time

That may still work, depending on the placement of the insulation bands on the 3.5mm side. All you will be using is the video feed (which is the yellow). If you have a set of headphones, compare the plugs. If the placement of the insulating bands appear different, it will probably work.
not necassarly if you look good and hard u can find a 15 inch lcd for a little less then a lower quality 800x400 7inch llilput
It's just that the projected image size gets bigger with a bigger LCD right? Not to mention the whole PJ setup.
about the size i am not really sure i am just geting into the large lcd's and i am having alot of trouble myself finding somone who was actually content with their setup if im going to spend 500 dollars i want to be happy and not wanting more
sorry that wasnt any help but at least you know your not alone in being confused
