I think it's because we Scandinavians have humour and muricans have not. <wink>
Funny Scandinavian things are written in Scandinavian and often playing with words making it impossible to make it into English, but here are some stuff from USA.
Same is the case in English. I love plays on words and uncommon connotations of words. I can make many jokes in English that I can't in my native tongue (Danish).
Take the word 'paraphernalia' for example. It literally just means accessories, but the more common connotation is drug paraphernalia (crack pipes and whatnot). I love letting female friends know not to forget their paraphernalia when they're about to leave without their purse. That usually gets a good chuckle. Try to translate that into any other language.
Anyway. Getting back to the pictures.
