When I was a child I spent a six week spell in an English sanatorium - including Nov 5th. The wards were connected by long covered walkways and it was from these that the main firework display was launched. A medical student decided to fire a rocket horizontally down an adjacent {empty) corridor. The rocket glanced off a roof support and came straight
to our (occupied) corridor - it ended up in a medical trolly and set-off the many fireworks which were on that trolly and also the contents of a second trolly. A short but very unexpectedDisplay; one to remember.

I was doing the sound at a big fireworks show on a ranch 20 some odd years ago and it got away from them. It took over 10 minutes for it all to finish going off. They just cleared the f*** out and let it burn. It was supposed to be almost an hour long show - their entire truck and trailer were toast. I was set up on the opposite side of their stock pond.

This photo certainly won't make you laugh, but I find it just wonderful.
