I think that it all started with a hot coffee that was hot but did not say caution..
Years ago we got small wading pool for the dog to cool off - about 6" deep max.
I was suprised to see the "No Diving" warning label.
But it actually worked! Not once did the dog try to dive in.

I think that there was a child's Superman costume that had the warning "this does not allow the occupant to fly" - perhaps some disappointed kids on Christmas day.

I would argue that any costume allows the occupant to fly ... just not for very long, usually.
