The students “union” at the tech college in Gothenburg, Chalmers, had shares in the Pripps’ brewing company and always came to the shareholders’ annual general meeting with the proposal of having pipeline built from the brewery to the institute. And always got their proposal turned down ….

I'm quite convinced that this was from a former GDR children's book. Another example: A chocolate Santa Claus was called Jahresendzeitschokoladenhohlfigur (= end of the year hollow chocolate persona), a Xmas angel was a Jahresendzeitfigur mit Flügeln (= end of the year persona with wings).
