Position of Crossover in ProAc 2.5 Clone

Initially, I wanted to put my crossover below the port on the rear wall. My hooks are not long enough to go through the bitumen and bite into the MDS. As an alternative, I was thinking of using straps on the crossover to hang it on hooks on the front of the speaker. To isolate from vibrations, I would put some Dacon behind it. Would it work?

The best way is to mount above port using long thread rear terminal connectors that punch through to the crossover, bolting everything together but with no dacron in between. Or use long screws from the woofer hole.
