I am designing a set of speakers for portable use. I used a box design software and found some 10" PA type speakers that matched well. With low Qts and Fs of 43Hz, They will work in a ported box of 1.5 Cu. ft. and 3" port that is 4.5" long.
This gives me a smooth roll off to an F3 of 50Hz and F10 ~45 Hz.
I could go with something that gives a "bump" just before roll off by using a driver with higher Qts, but the box volume goes way up and makes the speaker heavy.
Do you think I'm good with the smooth roll-off and F3 for type of music I play?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
In your case (if you know what T/S parameters are, and work with them) I would use the software from Wayne Parham, for the enclosure volume and alignment.
