Ok so after having my well written long post disappear after trying to post it I'm gonna make a short sweet version. I've searched around for a while and cant find to much free helpful info. I've found some good info here and figured it would be the best place to start. I plan on using mdf as I have a bunch around for the box. Around the dimensions of 18" W x 24" H x 18" D. I was thinking of using these speakers BassInferno - 5.25" 4-way Speaker - Silver - BI 50 . Haven't gone and listened to them yet but from my exp using other boss products in the past they should be good for the money. I was also thinking of maybe a small sub too. I want it to be battery powered with an option for ac power/ recharging and maybe some solar cells. What I need help with is the boards. An amp board, volume control board, tune control board, power control board, usb charging port board. If some one could point me in the direction of free plans or really really cheap plans so that I can compile a complete unit. Questions comments concerns complaints and help are all welcome, thanks.
Ok so after a bit more research I remembered my friend had an old head unit for his car, thought Id try and use this but I cant because its a clarion with a cenet plug. After looking for a hack for the plug I came across some fm board designs which led me to this website where I found a tone control circuit and a 150W mp3 car amp circuit.
