Ok, maybe this is a dumb question, but i searched and couldnt find the answer...although, I didnt know what to ask, which may have hindered my search.
My question is, take a woofer, say, scanspeak 18w8535, in a 40L ported box. If the port is set at 1", the resonance according to unibox is 3813hz. If I am crossing the driver over at 2000hz, does this resonance matter? How would this effect the speaker, if at all? According to unibox, it would pretty much be a flat response to 30hz.
I guess the question is, if the port resonance is above the crossover of the woofer does it still affect the whole speaker?
