Port Directly behind woofer

are there any problems that can arrise from having a port directly behind a woofer?

You could get leakage of higher frequencies directly radiated from the back of the cone coming through the port, but that's all I can think of.

If the port is too close to the woofer the resonace frequency of the port will change so the port has to shortened or lengthened accordingly.

Hi,
it is recommended that the inner end of the port is at least 1.5 port diameters away from the speaker cone, preferably more.
