Popping noises in Thiel CS3.5 Bass EQ??

Hello,
I have popping noises on one channel of my CS3.5 Bass EQ unit.
Since there is no schema on the net, I had to trace the circuit myself but it seems to be unexpectedly complicated for a tone circuit.
Anyone have any idea how it works?
Thanks,

Forgot to attach the schema, here it is.

My eq started making popping/ frying sounds and I used cooling spray / heat and it turned out to be the trim pot wiper , a shot of De-ox and moving the pot wiper solved the problem. Just for fun I replaced the filter caps too. I can't get over how good these speaker are. They are powered by a overhauled Adcom 555ii. My main system has Magnapan 20.7 and Paradigm S8 and these 3.5 hold their own nicely. At first it seems that they lack deep bass but when some honest sub 30Hz comes along you realize that is not the case.

Hate to revive an old topic but I have the frying/ static sound in my equalizer (thought it was my amp, bought another one and noise still there; bummer). What does the pot do and is there a value that it should be set to?
