Pop Pulse amplifiers WARNING

Hi there - i'd like to share my expereince with this brand. A few months ago i bought a new class d T150 amplifier - mark 2. I had the mark 1 previously with no problems. After a few weeks there was a loud oscillating squalling noise coming from both channels, this was if the amp was running at moderate levels, the noise was very noticeable. I looked closer at the board and the 2 power elna caps had been leaking. I removed these and replaced them with panasonics, the noise is still there. I contacted Mr Wu in Hong Kong and sent the PCB back to him. Over one month later it arrives back, the problem is still there. nothing against mr wu, he tried - however this problem has annoyed the hell out of me. I spent a bit on this amp on the basis that the mark 1 was fine. The mark 2 also sounded fine, for a little while. A manufacturer who installs faulty caps and then doesnt fix the problem doenst impress me. I isolated all other potential causes incl speaker loads, inputs, ground loops, mains noise - these werent the problem. My bet is the tripath chip has been f*cked by dodgy power being filtered by dodgy caps. Be careful with the QC of these amps!

Hey - no the funny thing is they didnt bulge, they didnt pop or explode, just quietly leaked. which made me think "counterfeit parts?" I suspected these caps cos i saw fluid coming out from under them. took them off the pcb and there was a pile of white crap underneath that was a mission to remove from the PCB.
