hi everyone.
i got hold of a ASK C6 Compact Projector that has the yellow spot
syndrome. takes up about 2/3 of the middle of screen.
I`ve stripped it down enough to have a look inside and try learn a bit about the workings of projectors and taken a couple of pics (mobile phone - sorry) showing the LCD`s.
I`ve tried to research yellow spot faults and the advice varies from - `clean the lenses` to `throw it away`
Is anyone familiar with this prism arrangement and if so could offer any help.
Can you buy these parts ?
Are these LCD`s interchangeable with any other types ?
Does anyone know a repair center that could help ? pref UK
Does anyone want to fix it for a bit of cash ?
IS there any other unit (including the control board) i could buy and try rebuild the whole thing into a new box.

ah i found the culprit.
It`s this truncated oval shape thats visible on the LCD.
is this the fluid inside the glass `sandwich` ?
