Looks like 40 to 100m/s is What Im to expect in my car.
Cant hear port noise over Bass and normal rattling in my Car.
In my house Im at 20 m/s and I cant hear a thing cause I dont usually Max my house system out enough to get full SPl's😉

my port velocity.... 0m/s
currently sealed, going with passives in the future.
collo did a thread about port velocity you can find here:

I'd agree with vetkilr that in a car port noise becomes far less of an issue, but I havent done any actual tests... I just know I've heard quite a few ported boxes in cars that chuffed when you listened to them 2 feet away through the open trunk. With everything sealed up and inside the car, rattles were the #1 problem and the sound of port chuffing was inexistant

With one of my basscabs I was able to here the portnoise around a simulated 31 m/s (it was probably a little bit higher tho), while the SPL from the speaker was far beyond common house use.
With the mid and high into the mix the problem was solved.
Since then I use 30 m/s as a limit for PA and 20 m/s for hifi and alike.

Hey BassAwdyO
Wondering if you're gonna order one of those 91 dB/1m/1W woofers from Ascendant?
IIRC you said you wanted something >90 dB/1m/1W 🙂

no plans on buying any woofers for a while here...
My next set would be some 18" pro drivers with hopefully better than 95db@1w 1m
