Take a look of these "bookshelf speakers" that I just got. These speakers are big for bookshelf for sure😀. They sound very good and bass is strong. I got these speakers not too long ago, I like the sound so much that I am going to leave them as my main speakers for my living room😉. These are as new as you can ever get them.They look like they traveled in time.😛

Thanks, Right now I have them on the floor since I have not found a "proper" stand for them yet. I put some cushioning pads on the buttons. These speakers sound so good😛... with the tight bass of these speakers I would not use a separated subwoofer, the bass is strong enough for me. I am very happy!
I am glad that you like them......Unfortunately as soon as you lift them off the floor your going to notice some changes in the Bass output.
If you recall Bass frequencies are omnidirectional below about 80 Hertz. When they are on the floor they couple, or use the floor as a Director, utilizing the floor to direct Bass frequencies up.
So called free floating in air as like on stands denies this coupling effect.
Conversely, moving against a back wall regains some of this coupling effect.
There is a mathematical description of this effect..it eludes me the name.
Also this coupling effect can be multiplied by putting it against the wall AND the floor, again the floor, wall and side wall puts it in a corner & multiplies it again. So think of free floating as Zero, Floor One, Floor plus back wall, Two, Floor, back wall, side wall Three.
Have two assistants firmly hold your speakers while you play your favorite, well known music. Have them start by grasping your speakers first on the floor as you now have them.....slowly and firmly levitate them to mid chest high, then slowly back them up to the back wall. Coach them well so they know what they will be doing before starting, watch the wires...have them do identical placements, heights & distances.
Walk them thru it first........perhaps they can do the spacing left to right also.....perhaps they can approach the corners so you can notice how the sound changes. Make sure theyre not the clumsy types. Have your eyes closed during the entire placement drill. Go ahead and choose while blind, your favorite locations.

Thanks for info. I put them on some small tables and they sounded better😀
My friend was here with me and as soon as He listened the speakers, he offered me $200 for them😛.
PS: These speakers are very heavy for bookshelf....they weigh around 25 pounds each!!!!
