I was wondering if i need to take care of the polarity of the speakers with my "active" cross over.
The crossover is balanced, so i have in effect a filter on each side of the signal. I have two options in my cross over
1) 6db first order on hot and cold signal, this gives in effect a 12db (same as 2nd order filter)
2) 12db second order on hot and cold signal this gives in a effect a 24db (same as 4th order filter).
But what about polarity. It is difficut to find good information on this for this kind of setup. I can select between 1st and 2n order filters on the signal lines, should i than also include a polarity siwtch on either speaker (it is a 2 way filter).
Thanks for your help
