Very nice job EL504! Visited your website and enjoyed
your excellent wiring job.
Where did you purchase those chassis parts?
Thank you, Joe.
The chassis and most of the solderingstrips are from dismantled radio's. The metal parts for fixating the smoothing capacitors are from Jukebox Revival. The parts for fixating the 'capacitorbox' and some other metal parts are from an old Mecano-like set someone gave me some years ago. It proves to be very handy for this kind of work. The metal parts on the front, i bought more than ten years ago at the local Formido (now no longer there). I regret i didn't buy more of it. It's perfect for controls/switches/inputs. I only have a little of it left and i can't find it anywhere else.
Greetings,
Robert
Perhaps. Depends on your criteria. With decent parts (not necessarily expensive ones) it's possible to get good, maybe even equivalent, performance for a considerable saving.
