Hello Pacific North-westerners!
Since Tarior sadly cannot host a PNW meet this year, I am hoping to host an event in mid-May.
Potential date is looking like May 19th, which is a saturday. Please post comments if this date does not work for a majority of people.
Please bring your favorite equipment, and LOTS OF EXTENSION CORDS AND HIGH QUALITY POWER STRIPS. I cannot stress the last point enough, they are the last things you would think of bringing!!!
I will figure out if there will be tables, otherwise people with trucks should bring folding tables to use.
Also, if you are planning on being in attendance, please indicate that you are in the poll, this will help determine if the space is appropriate for the speculative group. If you for some reason have to change your vote, I will leave the poll open so you can change your vote.
UPDATE: Sorry for the confusion, but this will now be at the Seattle Public Library University branch, there is a large basement.
Hours that I have the room booked are for 11AM-5:45PM, though the last 30-45 minutes will probably be cleanup. There should be easy accessibility since it must be ADA accessible.
Here is the map of the tentative location, please be aware this is subject to change:

There will be snacks.

This is the first I've had it, it is a replacement for an annual show held in Kelso, WA. Usually about 50 people show up, but never more than 20 or 30 in the room at one time.
Interesting. My family plans a trip to visit family in MN around this time. We usually fly out of Seattle. Sooo, what are my chances of convincing the wife to let me hang around for a few hours while she watches the kids before an evening flight 😀
Slim I'd say. I'll keep this in mind though. That is if you allow strangers 😀

This sounds like a good idea. You would think a library would be the last place that would let you make a lot of noise. What happened to that church basement in Mercer island?
Anyway, I'm in.

Well, the room seemed to be fairly removed from the rest of the library, I will ask sometime soon. If not, I will find another location within seattle and update with plenty of notice.

Hi,
The basement of the Church has been the meeting place of the Pacific Northwest Audio Society since it's founding 33 years ago and is leased by the Club.
Best Regards,
Terry
And this meet is not part of the club? If not, we can always lease it from the club. Just a thought.
There is something about making noise in a library that makes me feel we're doing something wrong. 🙂

Update:
We will be having it at this location
Phinney Neighborhood Association - Home
This means there will be a small suggested donation at the door, $5-10 should be plenty.
I'm thinking 9AM-3PM, with the possibility of going later, does that sound OK to everyone here?
