Any one have a source for PMD 100 (OR 200) filter. Its seems impossible to get. Im not really in the mode of paying a few hundred dollars for a dac just to get one.

Cheap DAC with PMD100
Richer Sounds in the UK were selling the Cambridge Audio Isodac S700 for only £60. That's pretty cheap for a DAC with a PMD100 which, after a bit of tweaking, even becomes half decent.
The PMD100 is socketed if you should want to remove it.

You won't find a source anywhere. The PMD100 and other HDCD filters and code are only sold to licenced OEMs. So, there is only one option, and that's to remove one from a peice of equipment you've purchased.
In my case, I own a Rotel CD player which I will be using as a transport only. So, I desoldered and removed the PMD-100 for my own use, and replaced it with a socket and a little replacement circuit based on a different digital filter so that my CD player still works.
