Please teach me - triple slope SOA protection

I've been at audio a while, and I can do my own single and double slope limiters, but I get lost in the equations on a triple slope. Can one of you enlightened ones give me an intermediate-level lesson in triple-slope design?

I don't know which issue it's from as Mike sent me the document. As for contacting Electronics World to see if we can share it, I thought about that (with Mike's permission of course), but that would lose them back issue sales, so why would they allow it?

Well of course you could just BUY the back issues - there's a revolutionary concept! EW Sept and Oct 2002.

Do I understand that there is a protection circuit out there that can be designed to follow the SOA curve of a given output device? I would be interested to see what it looks like.
