I bought this thinking it was 3 way, but closer inspection would have told me otherwise ;-)
However, I can't identify it's origin, and therefore what drivers would suit.
I have traced the circuit, but it seems a little odd to me - very busy, especially around the tweeter - but then again i may have made an error.😀
Thank you for looking

The tweeter has a resonance impedance peak filter, the three components closest to it, presumably to make the impedance look resistive there and clean up the effect of the high pass filter, which consists of the next closest three components. There is also a resistor, presumably to set the treble level.
The woofer also has a resistor, but that is more likely to be tuning the resonance of its filter

two way, 3rd order electrical, with notch filter on the tweeter; all those electrolytics should be discarded, that type are notorious for going bad
Definitely mtm. Those bipolars are made specifically for crossovers and can last surprisingly long time, but i would replace them with new ones, since they are so cheap.
This crossover board and component complement is typical of Wharfedale speakers of the 1970s.
As Pete has said, those ELCAP electrolytics do not age well and should be replaced as a matter of course.
As to the speaker model from which they came, I am currently uncertain.
We're probably looking at something like the E30's driver arrangement, although its crossover was simpler than the one under study.

The manufacturers Wharfedale and Leak both fell under the Rank Hi-Fi banner.
The Leak 3000 Series was contemporary (late 70s) with the Wharfedale E Series.
The crossover boards and components would have been of similar description in each brand.
Attached is an image of the Leak 3050 time delay compensated speaker which has a driver complement of interest. Details here:

Hope this information may narrow down the origin of your crossover.

Thank you everyone, i knew I would get some strong clues from this forum.
Interesting, about the MTM, as I first thought it was some 2 way with two bass drivers, (like the Leak mentioned), but of course, a modern interpretation would be an MTM, something the Wharfedale were nearing, but not quite there. Funny how some simple and obvious answers sometime take time to emerge.
Yes, the electros will be changed as a matter of course. ;-)
The Leak 3050 seem the more likely candidate to me. The sophistication of the circuit, and attention payed to the tweeter appears consistent with the time aligned approach of that design. (something I'm accustomed to; having a pair of Duntech Esquires - essentially a time aligned MTM configuration). Also consistent with what I imagine is the 'up market' price of the Leaks over the Wharfedales.
That review of the 3050 is quite systematic and technical - It's sobering to see how much more serious and thorough popular magazines were compared to today's 'fashion opinions' ;-)
Thanks again, I'll did around a bit more about those 3050, and see if driver parameters are revealed somewhere.
