That Leslie unit was pulled from an Organ. I have maybe 25-30 of those both single and dual speed if anyone is interested. I have found that for guitar use they sound best with a simple high pass filter and full range to the woofer. Most guitarist never even used the crossover at all with the Leslie 16, 18 and fender vibratone.
Hey Guys,
JMFahey - I think I paid about $50 for the unit. I sandblasted it and repainted it, so it's in much better condition than when I bought it.
sreten - you are right, I don't understand crossovers, but I'm trying. I'm going to play around with the TinaTi simulator. I've never heard of it.
I think I'm going to upgrade this to a 12" speaker and forget about the crossover. But, I'm still interested in learning more about them.
JMFahey & jeffhigh - you both recommend PA speakers. May I ask why? My main cabinet is Randy Fay's design with an Eminence Deltalite II 2512 which is also a PA speaker. I bought it based on Randy's recommendation for the cabinet. I've attached the drawings if anybody's interested.
Dave

I used the PA speaker because wanted one with a high sensitivity, but with more response in the low end for use with keyboard.
If you are purely using guitar then use a guitar speaker.
