Please help with double attenuator for biamp

This is my first diy project and my questions are by sure "simples" for you.
I have projected a double attenuator for passive biamp.
I used 2 24 steps 100k attenuators like that

The idea was connect the imput to the first (A) of the 2 attenuators and connect 2 outputs from that, one to one of the 2 powamps (9wpc) and the other to the second attenuator (B). Then the output of this second attenuator to another powamp (100 wpc). In this way I can equilibrate the power difference of the 2 powamps with the second attenuator B and use the first A to regulate the volume on both.

The problem is that the ouput of the B attenuator is too low even if I regulate it at the maximum: it's so low that it's difficult to hear.

Where I am wrong? Maybe 100k is not correct?

Hi,

you seem to have it the wrong way round.

Input to attenuator A. (= overall volume)
A's output to 100W amplifier + attenuator B.
Attenuator B's output to the 9W amplifier.

You are right...I can't understand why but it is.

Now the problem is that I must use B close to the max and if I use the A at max the sound level is medium, far to be high.
