So I listened to that song and a few more. Interesting music, will listen more, but not the one I am searching for.
If you took this song, played by a jazz trio, extended to 1 hour with variations on the melodies, which would be a bit more difficult to identify, then you would get an idea how the record I am searching for sounds🙂

Yeah, I agree that tune is not the best example of the stuff they usually play. They do have some very nice music though.
I think you're chasing for a specific live performance rather than a long track, and to be able to find that you need to know at the very least the artist/band, perhaps also the year and location to get just the right one.

Unfortunately, I know nothing of that🙂 But with the power of Spotify radio I was able to discover some things that are close to what I wanted to find. Maybe one day, I will find it. And I will definitely recognize it when I hear it.
Perhaps it would be easier to remember the radio channel and the time, if you're lucky, could be it's not completely impossible to figure out the program?
I tried to contact the radio, no answer. They definitely have a list even from 20 years ago - 50 records a year would be no problem to go through I have a max 5 year window, could go one by one. They just do not talk to ordinary mortals...
Yes, but since you know the radio and the program, have you tried whether it's possible to check the program through the waybackmachine?
I got an idea to ask ChatGPT. While it listed a few artists I already knew, I got another bunch I did not know. So I am either a hair closer to finding the record or at least have lots of music to listen to🙂
Sure its a CD. Radio here seldom play whole records - its probably a recording from a concert? Or do you recall for sure like tracks with silence between tracks?

It was official Czech Radio - and it was their "Midnight Jazz Hour" broadcasting, where they usually play the whole CD as is. It was definitely a recording from a concert, with applause between songs, but I cannot imagine how they would get that unless it was oficially released long time ago - and on a CD. No silence between tracks as far as I can remember.
