The cone and especially the basket both resemble the JBL 2240 but the magnet is something else. For a while there were many overseas Asian manufactures that openly copied the 2240. If it is a knockoff of the 2240 then I would be very cautious about using it as a HT sub woofer as it would lack the Xmax needed as it would easily bottom out on infrasonic signals, unless a low-cut filter was used below 30 Hz. For music it would probably be acceptable, however beware that many of the Asian woofers produce unacceptable (to me at least) amounts of distortion (lack of internal shorting ring etc).

That would make it a ~12ohm driver. I'd measure the rest of the T/S specs. would probably make a very nice woofer.

It have been in a horn or a bandpass box, you can see the dirt, from air passing thru the gasket, on the surround.
