Well, it looks like this may be the weekend to start up the bandsaw, so....
Could someone help me pick out the best layout for my EL84M PP amp, i.e. how to orient the power TX and OPT's? The circles at the front (bottom) of the rectangle are the tubes.

I'd go for B, depending on how pretty your transformers are 🙂
Either that or D... Symmetry is nice 🙂

Hello, I use "D" layout in my EL84PP and work fine.
....
....see around web; layout A or C is on % Japanese amplifiers, and B or D in european amps.

I build mine (6L6G PP) like D.
The only difference is that my OPTs are orizontal.
Looks very nice. And no any transformer interference.
Place the power transformer EXACTLY at the middle of the OPTs.
Like D (or B) you can build the two channels almost identical.
Why only 4 tubes? SS preamp?

The input stage is already built and in a separate chassis. It's made of 6922's.
