I prepared this comparison for you. The results isn't the same, as you can see there. For reference the Pro-4's 1v41 result is similar to the ADC's 2v83 at that output level (around 88db).
This twitter needs a really big loudspeaker.I have owned a pair for several years, but never really found a good application for it. It's too large to be an effective tweeter and has a drooping high end.
Studio monitor that can give "live concert" pressure. 🙂 It was possible to install one tweeter, but a pair gives THD<0.05% at 1w throughout the operating range.
I meant with respect to the output level (about 88 db), not that the distortion profile was similar at that level.
BTW, you might also look at the Radian LT-2 w/ waveguide if you are using it above 2.5 kHz with a suitable high-pass filter. A cheaper solution that isn't too large (and could be "routed"/cut-into the waveguide to get the midrange closer to the driver).

Are there any measurements available?Aurum Cantus AST2560 is an extremely well-behaved tweeter crossed @2khz
I posted some measurements of a nude AST2560 that include some basic distortion testing. Best used above about 2kHz. I use this tweeter in one of my own loudspeakers. See:Are there any measurements available?

Oh my that looks like it would have quite poorly controlled directivity, especially using two AMTPRO-4. I am sure it is loud enough... But what do I know?
Thanh, the 27TAC is a great choice.
Unfortunately, the 2560 has a had a few variances in FR in the last few years as seen by Jim Holtz and CurtC in development of the Bordeaux. They don't play that low any longer.

Oh, also the Peerless DA25TX-08:
Jon has it measured here:

What about comb filtering due to interference between the two tweeters???It was possible to install one tweeter, but a pair gives THD<0.05% at 1w throughout the operating range.
I personally like the Peerless DA32TX alot. It plays low and has really nice extension for its size. Definitely sounds like a metsl dome comsidering its lower distortion signature and has some qualities of a planar or AMT. This driver has no issue with higher spl and stays composed at decent levels crossed lower. 110 dB peaks are no issue. The problem is finding a set of these things. Everyone seems to be out of them and Peerless changed their minimum order quantity. Stupid
It's a little easier with monitors than hi-fi equipment - the manufacturer guarantees declared characteristics only if the listener is on acoustic axis 🙂.looks like it would have quite poorly controlled directivity, especially using two AMTPRO-4
This can be partly corrected by filter, But there's LPF at 14kHz. It was possible to remove flanges from the speakers and move them closer to each other. Probably it will LPF at 16-17kHz. But 14kHz was enough for me.What about comb filtering due to interference between the two tweeters???
Thanks for the tip, measurements look very impressive. But it is out of stock everywhere.also the Peerless DA25TX-08
If you are doing this commercially then I suspect you could order a small sample direct from Tymphany at a reasonable cost.
Side-note: Whomever is running Tymphany right now is not doing a good job. Their understanding of key components isn't very good - presumably in large part to under-promoting those products (and only offering them on a bulk production-run). "Cutting" the standard production driver grouping is only smart if you remove the correct products and you promote those that need the promotion and are worth keeping in standard production.

Sorry for responding in an old threat.Note that good compression drivers are often a bit higher in THD (because of second order), but at least an octave above Fs are very low in higher-order non-linear effects
Somehow I bumped into this while searching for some speakers I think.
Anyway, what you're saying is true from all the theory books we read.
However, in practice when comparing apples-to-apples at similar sound pressure levels, you'll notice that the picture looks rather different.
This can be seen at some measurements done at Voice Coil Magazine (note; compression drivers are measured at a whopping 104dB, so we have to interpolate a bit to compensate for the usual 94dB).
But today I was just browsing through some old Hobby Hifi magazines again.
Here is just a random ND1090 as an example.
Compare that to a Seas Excel tweeter;
Or a SB SB29BAC-0000-4
The 2nd order THD levels are basically at the same level more or less.
More importantly, the higher order levels are totally gone.
Plus you get a whole lot more dynamic range to play with plus a directivity that is far more workable.
At 90dB this CD can even be driven by a tiny little amp with almost no measurable distortion as well (if that is your thing)
