Planet Audio VX2200D

First off someone has attempted to repair this before. Burnt traces near hole in board for led wires to run through. The source pen on several of the p/s fets weren't soldered. Audio out fets are ran in parallel but do not match. All 5 rail cap are bad. Someone repaired a trace and replaced a resistor connected to the shield and the rca output. D302is bad. Is this even worth messing with??

There are 6 rail caps. The other is near the output filter capacitors.

For R101, you need to cut away 100% of the carbonized fiberglass. The resistor is typically 220 ohms.

There are typically three of the 6 amp RP diodes. Did the other two survive?

These are decent amplifiers after you go through and fix multiple problems. The driver boards are the most problematic.

Worth repairing? That depends on a lot of variables. Who does it belong to? If you're buying it to resell, what are you paying for it? Do you have plenty of other profitable work to do?

For someone just getting into repair work and looking to learn, there is plenty to learn with these. That probably doesn't apply to you.

These are 'type 2' if you have the tutorial.

Would anyone know where this trace should go? It's completely burned out and I'm not sure where to put it. C352 (220uf 25v) The one I'm asking about is circled in pink.

The old internet explorer will work but has issues. Download and use Safari 5.1.7 and Chromium Portable from the first link that I posted above. Safari is a bit slow but functions as close to perfectly as can be, especially if you also install Irfanview and PDF Xchange viewer.

Go to the Programs and Features section of the Control Panel. Confirm that you have the Flash Players installed and they are the .371 version. See attached.
