Is that 2kW/4ohms?

If so I'm very interested, they'll be the first people (apart from CAD Audio who nobody will touch with a bargepole) and Hypex (who are expensive and only want to sell their big amps to OEMs) to sell modules to the DIY market at these power levels.

Do you have any clues about prices?

Ian

a quick update to say that Red Rocks Audio has finished the OEM project and they are working now full time in new series of high power SMPS + class D modules. Class D up to 3000W RMS and SMPS up to 4kW RMS. And even more power later 😎
First modules should be available begin of 2010 at very competitive prices.
Some OEMS are already interested by this new series for 19" rack amps so we can expect commercial offers to show off in Frankfurt Prolight and Sound...

Will they be selling the high power modules to DIYers?

Do you know when their smaller modules and SMPS will be available for sale again? I've tried contacting them a few times since they went on holidays and haven't heard back.

🙂

Well it's seeming impossible to contact red rocks at the moment.

Meanwhile, PKN are soon to release 2 new amplifiers at a cheaper price point than their existing models. index The datasheet on the left says the 4 channel amp will do 2x2000W bridged into 4ohm.
