Hi,
I bought this amplifier from Dubai where they have 220 Volts (with 50Hz cycles) but i'm now moved back to Canada where it's 110V (with 60Hz cycles) electricity. The unit does have the voltage selector to select the voltage like 220V-240V and 110V-120V and i'm using 110V-120V.
I have chosen both 110v and 120v but the fuse keeps blowing for some reason. i'm using 3.15 amps glass fuses as always and as recommended. I have attached the service manual and the diagrams as well. some help please.

are you guys sure ? cuz as per this image it shows something else ... can you please check page 22 again and look for it ? ive been using 3.15A here actually. kindly check back page 22 .. waiting ..
He's got the 'S' or the 'S/G' version. For 120 VAC operation, the transformer primaries are connected in parallel - but each primary is separately fused. Poor design idea IMHO, but that's the way it is wired. Two 3.15 A fuses.

i tried two 3.15A fuses (fast blow) on both and both blew up. someone was telling me for 110V-120V i should be using 6.3A fuses .. should i give it a try ?
so i followed what you just told me ...here's what i did .
put 2 new fuses, turned ON the power button without putting the plug in and set the multimetter to 200 omhs and connected to plug prongs. on different voltage selector settings, here are ratings i got :
on 240 volt i got 05.8
on 220 volt i got 12.0
on 120 volt i got 0.01
on 110 volt i got 6.1
which amp of fuse i should be using now ? and on both slots of just one slot? waiting for your response.

Please take it back to allaboutcircuits.com. Don't really want to be replying to a thread in two different places.
