I bought a secondhand Pioneer PD-S602 which I want to use as a transport.
One of the first things I noticed when I opened it up was that bright orange sticker on the back.
Also... there is no serial number on the back. Should I be worried?
Near the variable line out, 2 capacitators where cut out (C443 and C444). The service manual is on it's way but I'm kinda curious what thier function is?

I just asked the previous owner if he knows the origin of this cdplayer... He doesn't know since he's not the original owner 🙄
with that unit being a sample its going to be better or worse than the mass produced units...hopefully you got a better unit

Heard from a friend of mine that used to work for Pioneer Netherlands that the unit was stolen from the Pioneer storage earlier this year...
The good news is that it's a pre-production model that was used to get E.C. approval.
