Hello Guys,
I've just got a Pioneer PD9300 cd player. As i opened the case, i found the laser lens was dropped out from where it should be. Then I remove the black plastic cover of the laser unit in order to work freely on the lens. I glued it up with some drop of Vinavil. After replaced everything, I put a CD on, but the laser couldn't find the track... the red beam is visible, so the laser was working, I just guessed if it was a problem of calibration. Is there anybody can help me to fix this stuff? there are 6 VRs to make the calibration (tracking, focus, rf). Please heeelppp.... Thank you.

Don't turn the pots without equipment, experience and a manual.
Pioneers are though to adjust. I would think that some other problem is the cause here. (Glue on the lens?)
I would advice you to bring it to a good Pioneer service station.

many thanks to the one who did provide me service manual of a PD8500, different schematic but the laser unit is the same.
Yes Netlist, thanks for your advice, i made a mark on each of the six VRs so i can back-up. Actually i glued the lens, just like it was before.
The problem was solve that was not due to the calibration, but simply adjusting laser unit (radial and tangential adjustment, and "grating hole"). Now the player is running smooth and silence.
What a relief....
