I'm not sure about this head unit but many of the early pioneer head units had a code chip. If the code was lost, the chip had to be replaced. They were only available to authorized service centers.
still got the manual it should have the code that came with it, or try the usual suspects, 0000, 0123, 1111, unless of course you changed the security code yourself. Otherwise you may be screwed, without reciept, or proof of ownership.
The code IC is still available from pacparts but the price is $60. The part number is pdh001.
Does the owner's manual mention leaving the head unit powered up for 24 hours (no voltage on the ignition wire of the head unit) to allow you to re-enter the code? There were several head units that had that requirement but I can't remember which ones they were.

In the head units I repaired where the only problem was an unknown code, simply replacing the IC solved the problem. I won't tell you that it will definitively solve your problem.
