grabbed a stamped pair from auction - seller didn't measure - where are Super 8's running for Fs, Qts and Vas? My super10's Qts ~0.42, Fs~49 - hope Super 8's qts comes in below 0.38
have AN users compiled listings of parameters?

LOL - - my used pair of Super8 look real good and qughta rock in certain K-couplers plus should be ~interchangeable with FE206 in blh application

dunno the location of my scale - if published mms=11.663g and real Fs = ~49 vs 37.4, can you guesstimate Vas? (I believe the seller said they've been run-in >500Hr)

Averaging what you have:
48.45 Hz Fs
2.922 Qms
0.26 Qes
0.238 Qts
7.434 ohms Re
0.128 mH Le
Published:
11.663 g Mms
8.8 cm radius = 243.285 cm^2 Sd
Calculated average:
Vas = 78.604 L
BL = 10.0755 N/A
Cms = 0.00092521 mm/N

that's a decent BL compared to W8-1772 - fwiw FE206EN lists pretty close - my FE206EN qts also runs higher than spec according to WT3

Yeah, anytime I see a really low Qes, I don't have any real faith in it. What I don't understand though is why were these motors relatively close to spec and the others so far off?

Don't need one. American nickels are non-magnetic and weigh 5g
exactly. For WT3 low freq low power VAS test, gravity works good
as glue. If coins don't rattle, not a problem... And they never do...
All we care is how much weight makes Fs drop at least 25%.

I don't get around, have no friends, GF or wife and maybe no nickels without a massive cleaning 😛
Hi there Freddi: You now have four sets of T/S data for the AN super 8's, manufacturers, your two measurements and GM's average of your measurements. What values will you use to design the enclosure for the two AN's? Hope you will post the Vas test data, so the community can add this to the general knowledge of speaker measuremnets. Everything manufactured has tolerances, even WT3's and computer equipment used in these tests, as well as the drivers themselves. So how do we know the "actual" calibration of our test equipment/set-ups? ...regards, Michael
I've only one nickel, 3-4 pennies and my digital scale's battery is weak/dead reading 3.1g for the nickel. I'll have to order a new scale as that's faster than getting a ride.
scraped up two old nickels, if this is ballpark then Vas is around 2.355 cubic foot/ 66.6936 liters - added mass method seems touchy - I'll run some more later - does this look plausible?

Don't know. But I find that more mass give me more consistent results. You might try that.
Too much can lead to the curve cratering as the suspension starts getting tweeked... i use 25g (a ring of ductseal) on the 6-8" drivers. hard to keep nickels on the cone when it is held cone facing horizontally (facing up will not give accurate results).
