piezos again!

Ive just had a thought It may be totally erroneous but here goes :-

Buy 2 cheapo piezo's @ 2.50 ea. (price of ksn 1038 clones in my local musical instrument store) .Wire one in series with a 100 ohm linear pot
and wire it anti - phase to the first one .adjust pot for smoothest output (measure value and replace with fixed resistor) any mileage in this idea ?
 
For a lousy five bucks you aren't willing to do the experiment yourself and truly learn from a hands on experiience that begins with an idea? This is the DIY forum. Are you in the wrong line?

What are you trying to achieve by doing this?

I probably will try it but at the moment Iam in the middle of building a set of speakers using ksn1165 and i just thought I,d share the Idea
in case anyone had thought of using this Mechanical negative feedback
idea before - at least theres no delay involved as in electronic feedback !

I thought that in theory of applying direct negative feedback to the output at a reduced volume would smooth the peaks and troughs and
give a smoother output .As I said - IS THERE ANY MILEAGE IN IT .

I put the Idea up to see if it stood up theoretically I am sure you bods probably Know why its a non runner!!

NO THERE IS NOT ! 😀

You are not using negative feedback and the the principle
of linear superposition means the result will be the same
as using one tweeter attenuated.

In practise it will be worse due to inteference between
the two tweeters.
