so i woke up this morning and checked my email, and santa
left me a little present:
according to dave they sound pretty nice. they are designed to be wall-hung, with the driver end down. the design is essentially by dave (our own planet10), based on martin king's bass reflex design for these drivers. i had a little input as well - we sorted out the dimensions together and the angular shape was by my initiation. i felt if i was going to mount these on the wall, it would be better to have some toe-in built in to the cabinet.
the grillcloth is vintage from dynaco a25. SWEET!
the end product will have an externally-mounted tweeter, the enclosure for which will be designed and built by me. i plan to use easter eggs with some added mass inside...i think i will mount them using a brass tube, friction fitted in a rubber plug in the main cabinet. still trying to decide if that's the best way.
so, these will be my toys to play with. i hope to have hours of tweaking enjoyment, thanks to dave and his accomplice chris the cabinetmaker.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
