I've been building the Carfrae for 10 years...but this new project is without the standard powered sub. Instead, I've rejigged the CAD drawing to integrate the stand better.
This build is with 25mm Euro Birch ply with exposed ends...but the side panels in MDF for Piano Gloss Black finish...should look nice.
Lowther DX4 will be used.
Hardwood trim also CNC'd, except the small piece at the bottom...which is hand made.
Makes for a great DIY project, with the large tractrix horn performing very well rich tight bass.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm almost finished with the final iteration of my amp builds and would consider a DIY speaker build as my next project. Currently Lowther DX3 with separate powered subs (B&W 610) so this design looks like a great fit and looks superb.
How does one get hold of this in either kit or design form ?
