Hi all. I am building up my Boozhound Labs Phono preamp kit this coming weekend. I plan on building it into a cigar box that will also get stuffed with a flat pack transformer (15VAC) and a voltage rectifier/regulator pcb (LD1085 regulator). I figured I would need to line the box with some conductive material for shielding so I also picked up some thin adhesive copper to line the box with... RCA jacks will be isolated. Which leaves me wondering... what ground do I connect to the copper shield? Earth ground from a three prong power cable? Or post rectifier common ground?
This. Or just common ground in some convenient spot, it's not terribly critical.Or post rectifier common ground?
Is the copper accessible to users of the box? If so, connect it to mains ground as it is a safety ground. Any other external metal (e.g. RCA)?
