are there standards for the length of tone arm base mount DIN connectors? I am specifically interested in Right angle connectors. I have a customer who wants me to build a set of cables to fit a Japanese arm. It seems that straight DIN connectors fit but that several (including a Cardas) right angle DIN connectors are not long enough to make connection inside of the arm base.
Can anyone recommend suppliers or specific connectors to deal with this issue? Thanks for any assistance.

I have the same problem, I have a Signet XK50 with a flaky cable, what I did was find some gold female pins (I'm thinking they were amphenol, from their circular connector series) and basically made 4 wires with pins on one end, terminating in RCA connectors on the back of the table.

that's as clean an idea as I have come across. This permits excellent termination at the arm and also excellent termination at the back side of the table (providing you install first class chassis mount RCA female connectors). Further it lets the table owner listen to what ever cables he wants with the arm/cartridge combo. This is something that DIN terminated cables does not let you do easily. Another bonus of this idea is that many suspension tables are really touchy with regards to cable dressing and a set of tiny thin tone arm weight wires connecting to RCA's on the chassis will make for literally zero cable dressing impact. Save you a bundle on spendy hi end DIN connectors which seems like an oxiemoron to me. Thanks for the great heads up!
