I have a BK Precision 879B. Most people would prefer one of the $10 chinese options on ebay. There are other options. Post other models if you want suggestions.
Is there a way to find out what the program is on that. Chip.i would like to get a few spare. The one that's in this one is pretty bad condition I'm constantly having to wiggle it to get it to turn on
It's generally difficult to get the firmware because the manufacturers prevent reading them.

I fought the short in the inductor. It was underside just like you said. It's only one turn from be out. .
You will need to rewind new wire the fact that the inductor changed color means the wire insulation has been compromised and the inductance is no longer in spec. this will damage the amplifier's control board.
Yeaa. I fount the short in the area where the shielding is brighter. where is shorting out at. What's the best way of rewinding it? Useing new wire?
I don't think you should rewind it without a reason. Compare the temperature of the inductors to see if either is running hotter than the other.
Of course, if it has to be rewound, you would use new wire.
