I have a problem with my Philips FA960 integrated. The bulbs around the volume control and power switch are out. I replaced them about a year ago, and they were fine for a while, but now I find that the bulbs themselves are fine, but there's no current getting to them. I've checked the wiring, but don't see anything obvious.
Anyone experience anything similar with a Philips or similar Marantz amp of this era ((1980s)?

Looks like the 8V bulbs are in series one end to earth and the other end is R807-180ohm outputting =24V.
The circuit diagram I am looking at is a bit hazy but I would check that resistor first .

I am having trouble sourcing the fusible resistor. It's listed as 180 ohms, .5 watt.
How important is the wattage? I see 1 and 2 watt version, but so far the .5 is not readily available

They fuse by a set overload so they are rated by wattage it would not be wise to use a higher wattage ,they have a special coating on them (non wire-wound types ).
Ordinary resistors can use higher wattage's but not in this case.

If you can't find a suitable fusable resistor maybe it is an option to use a normal resistor and a fuse in series instead?
