Philips cd880 player channel dead, resistor burns out

Hi,

Left channel is dead.
A 33 ohm resistor that has one leg connected to pin 4 (vcc-)of
one of the op amps keeps burning up smoking etc.
Ive replaced it a few times and same problem.


no resistance on the op amps pins except for pin 3 (in+) which reads 0

Any ideas whats causing the problem
I am a complete newbie so bear this in mind

For all you who want to know.


It was a bad cap in line with pin 4 of the op amp

and the op amp was also kaputsky...
