Weak point of a lot of old Philips players: ground plane has bad connection from sub to upper layer. Check for dry solder joints.
I had three (!) faults in a gnd signal to the arm servo of my CD304mk2.
In datasheet the through-pcb gnd spots are identified as a circle with a cross in it. They are a sort of prehistoric fabricated multi-layer pcb. The copper bushing is not allways connecting, best is to drill those spots out and fit a copperwire in them, and solder new.
