Hi tawn,
I'm also on the look-out for a PGA2310, but in the DIP package. How do you know Farnell have five month leadtime on the PGA2310?

I put in an order with Farnell last month for some stuff including a PGA2310 and they shipped everything except for the PGA2310 - this item was cancelled. I'm ready to place another order but I keep looking at the Farnell website to see if the PGA2310 is back in stock, but there is no expected date listed. RS is also "awaiting delivery".

You could try the TI samples programme: I successfully used this to obtain three PGA2310s (for a 5.1 pre-amp) a couple of years ago. I'm upgrading the amp to 7.1 but using the samples programme again would be unfair abuse of their generous nature!

the dip package is available from mouser all you need to do is look at the "real time stock availability" under "samples" on TI's web site.
Unfortunately they wont send me samples as I have no established buisiness at present 🙁

I have a feeling the PGA2310 is being discontinued in favour of PGA2320.. which is slightly improved. The only catch is the PGA2320 is SOIC only.

Maybe it's worth using those with some kind of adapter? SOIC isnt that hard to solder...
