I have finally gotten Peter's TL subwoofer project up on the TL site. This uses an Alcone 10" in a TL modeled using Martin King's software.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

And very nice it looks too, Dave.
Excellent site by the way. Your efforts don't go unappreciated.
Talking of which ...
I like your link on the bottom of each of your postings. I'm about to release a new speaker system with my company, Seventh Veil. So far I have put up a quick page which gives some details of the original Seventh Veil 'System IV' (which was a TL by the way) and I put in the occasional link where I feel it's appropriate. When my new system is complete I will put up the seventh-veil.com site. Am I allowed to put a link at the bottom of my posts as you have done?

Steve - response?
Hi Steve,
Do you by chance have a system response for your speakers that you'd be interested in posting? Just curious how low those Bandor units can be coaxed into going. They have a much lower fs than the Jordan JX53. Could you comment on the two models (the 50 and the 53)?
I'm very interested in trying these drivers out in the future...
Thanks,
Brendon

Re: Steve - response?
There seem to be a number of 50 mm modules. A pr of the 50AFSW/8 would make a bipole alphaTL with a 6 1/2" square prism 40" high (internal dimensions) and should be good (ignoring excursion limitations) to about 65 Hz or better.

Re: Steve - response?
I've been searching like crazy for the measured response curves for the Seventh Veil 'System IV' but I can't find them. Sorry.
I really can't comment on the Jordan JX53, as I haven't heard the Jordan unit for many years but I can thoroughly recommend the Bandor 50mm units. They can go much lower than the Jordans.
Dave (planet10) said that they should be good (ignoring excursion limitations) to about 65 Hz or better. I think that is over optimistic if he's talking about a flat response as it will start to drop before it gets to 65 Hz. However, with the 'System IVs' I could clearly (and tunefully) hear bass of 20 Hz, which is quite remarkable for 2" units.
I've listened to the (now discontinued) Bandor "Pictures" which were fairly flat (only 2" deep) speakers with 1 x 50mm unit. They were designed to be mounted on a wall and used without a sub. The bass was reinforced by the room. If you asked people listening if they could tell you where the subwoofer was, they would spend a long time looking.
