Looking for some help with Pete Millett's HP8903 software. I just purchased a USB to GPIB converter and it looks like I have communication with my laptop.
*I am able to have the Agilent library see the 8903 and turn the 'remote' and 'addressed' lights on.
*I loaded Pete's software and his files without issue.
When I run one of Pete's files, I get a 'file invalid' message w/ an error 729 in the HP VEE Run time program. Reading Pete's info on his site, it looks like I may have an issue with communication w/ the 8903.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Update: It's working. For anyone in the future that reads this, change the device name in the VEE run-time IO config to Audio Analyzer.

eBay...generic usb to GPIB converter that looks just like the HP unit. Something like $99 a few years ago. I only have one GPIB instrument and this generic unit works just fine.
