Perry Babin ORION DIN Bridging Module Question?

1. Perry on the op-amp pin 1 and 2 would that possible be connected to DIN plug pin 2 for shielding?

2. Perry are the capacitors within the DIN needed?

I would connect pins 1, 2 and 3 as shown. If you connect pins 1 and 2 to 3, it could cause the op-amp to do strange things. As shown, it will not cause any problems.

The digikey number is obsolete. They were likely 0.1uF film capacitors.
