Has anybody heard anything about the Peerless XXLS drivers?

Any price/performance/application info??
They appear to be very similar to the XLS line, but with higher power handling and a ventilated cone.

All t/s parameters are already online. Just go to the site d-s-t.com --> peerless --> Home audio subwoofers, and there they are 🙂

Looks very similar to the XLS which is an excellent driver. The only difference I can see is the bottom end of the pole vent, which you would see from the rear of the driver.

50MM Xmax!!! WOW!!!

Where do you see that? I see a 12" with linear xmax of += 12.5 mm.
Peerless has there web pages set up so it's hard to bookmark or share a URL. By poking around some I got this far:
http://www.d-s-t.com/peerless/dataover/ho_su_xxls.htm
Beyond that you have to invoke a javascript, like javascript:nytvin1(830845). I don't know how to make a URL do that.
nop. 12.5mm xmax. 50mm space for the vc to travel. "space for the 50 mm max excursion of the voice coil!"

there is no need to use java in there links
just get the properties off the page, the address is displayed there

So what's up with this?
http://www.d-s-t.com/peerless/data/830845app.htm
It says put the thing in a 62 liter box and you get a Q of .627
Either that's wrong or the T/S parameters are.

There are six XXLS drivers, three each of 10" and 12", for sealed, ported, and passive radiator applications. The XXLS drivers that are designed for passive radiator applications have very similar T/S parameters to the XLS drivers. The application notes link to the same page.
Re: OT
sorry for the delay, it's been some days
when using internet explorer
-> open the page like you normally do
-> then pres right mousebutton on a blank piece off the page
-> selekt properties
-> then look at url part
not that difficult i gues, but dunno with other browsers

Hey guys, I saw the new xxls too, and so I came over to diyaudio right away to see what the posts are saying.
It's cool that peerless has created 3 different verions with parameters optimized to suit different enclosures.
What do you guys think about putting the sealed xxls 10" (830843) in its suggested enclosure, then adding a port that can be tightly plugged? Plug the port and you have an optimzed 10", open the port for movies. It sounds like it might give this application a bit more versatility. Thoughts on performance?

I'd also be interested if anyone knows where these are available both from the US and UK
